Selling Crystals in Mine Antarctica — Cash, Weights and Timing
How selling works in Mine Antarctica: crystals weigh kilograms, sell at the selling point for Cash, and timing sales around the hourly rotation keeps income flowing.
How selling works
Selling converts mined crystals into Cash, the game’s main currency. The official loop from the game description: mine crystals, then “sell crystals for cash”. Three facts drive the whole flow:
- Crystals have weight. Official images show crystals weighed at 96.4 kg and 98.4 kg, and the number appears in-game when you mine. Weight is what your backpack budget spends.
- The backpack is the run limit. When the weight budget is full, mining stops paying until you sell — see the backpack guide.
- The selling point converts everything. Sell your load, get Cash, reinvest in upgrades or park spares in the garden.

climb.
What crystals are worth
Here is the honest line: the game does not publish a value table. What you can rely on:
- Weight scales value. Heavier crystals of the same kind bring more Cash. The exact Cash-per-kilogram for each crystal type is shown in-game when you sell.
- Rarity seems to pay more. The description promises “rare crystals”, and rare finds — like the rainbow crystals in official artwork — are visibly different from common ice-colored stones. How much more they pay is shown in-game, not officially documented.
- Hidden treasures are official. “Uncover hidden treasures” is in the description. What they are worth is in-game knowledge; treat third-party treasure tables as unverified.
When to sell: three timing rules
- Garden before you sell. If today’s haul includes spares of a crystal you already own, park those in the garden first — permanent luck beats one-time Cash for duplicates you don’t need.
- Sell before the hour mark. The hourly zone rotation gives you a fresh zone every hour; enter it with an empty backpack and full Warmth.
- Sell before logging off. An unsold crystal is locked money. Cash can go to upgrades; crystals in a backpack earn nothing overnight.
Selling FAQ
- Do crystals sell themselves when the zone changes? Nothing official says so. Assume they do not — sell manually before the hour.
- Should I sell heavy common crystals or save everything for the garden? Both: spares go to the garden, the rest to Cash. The garden wants duplicates, not your whole run.
- Is there a sell-all button? Not confirmed. The selling point converts your carried load — walk up and sell when the backpack is full or the run is done.
For the other half of every run — where the Cash should go first — read the upgrade priority guide.
